Malaz Group is an early to mid stage venture capital firm
that works on the principle of teamwork. This teamwork
involves our partners, the entrepreneur, and financial
investors. Through this teamwork we seek to create a value
added proposition for all concerned (a successful investment
for us, a strong operating company for the entrepreneur, and
attractive investment returns for financial investors).
We are based
in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, but the geographical focus of our
investments is primarily the Middle East and North Africa (MENA)
region. The range of industries in which we may invest
varies, though companies operating in the information and
communication technology, healthcare, and education industry
are of particular interest to us.
Having
worked ourselves in senior management positions and as
entrepreneurs, we appreciate the challenges faced by early
stage companies in the MENA region. Our management experience
along with the extensive knowledge of the MENA region gives us
the ability to assist the portfolio companies and
entrepreneurs in the early stages of their development and
growth.
Underlying
all our efforts is the endeavor to maintain the highest
standards of ethical and professional practices.
In terms
of operating in a true Venture Capital business model, Malaz
Group can easily claim that they are the first, and to our
knowledge today, one of the very few VC company currently
operating in the Kindgom. MALAZ group is also a founding
member of the Gulf Venture Capital Association.
